Chain Link Fence Manufacturers Announce 2020-21 Design Award Applications Opens

The prestigious Les Grube Design Award application is now open for the 2020-2021 design contest conducted yearly by Chain Link Fence Manufacturers Institute in Maryland.

Columbia, Maryland – The Chain Link Fence Manufacturers Institute (CLFMI) has announced that it is now accepting applications for its 2020-2021 Les Grube Memorial Design Award contest. The Award includes a uniquely-designed plaque and cash awards of $2,500 to the designing architect and $1,000 to the installing contractor, and is given for the project which makes the best and most unique use of chain link fence materials.

The 2019-2020 Award was presented to Urban Green Design, LTD, Cincinnati, OH for its design, and Sentry Fence, Inc., Columbus, OH for its installation of the Midwest Development Project for medical marijuana researcher and producer Galenas, Inc. (see attached description). Previous winners of the award include Pritzker award-winner Frank Gehry, Venice, CA; Arai/Jackson Architects, Seattle, WA; and Don M. Hisaka and Associates, Cambridge, MA.

CLFMI is encouraging chain link manufacturers, architects, engineers, and contractors to submit their application for the Les Grube Memorial Design Award to be considered for the 2020-2021 Award.
