Croydon, United Kingdom - February 14, 2018 /PressCable/ —

A new free LinkedIn training masterclass video has been released by London LinkedIn coaching service, Win At LinkedIn, to help B2B startups and solopreneurs harness the social media platform for generating leads, nurturing prospects and closing deals.

The masterclass is the first of its kind and is a sixty minute video of Head LinkedIn coach Jonny Rose explaining 50 LinkedIn growth hacks he has used to grow a technology firm from a student startup to a seven-figure multinational company serving clients such as JP Morgan, Dell, AllianceBernstein and IHS Markit.

Rose explained the thinking behind the new service: “So many business owners are forced to pay extortionate prices for very basic workshops that teach how to use LinkedIn. We want to give this information for free so that companies and individuals can save money as they benefit from the world’s largest professional network.”

Win At LinkedIn was established in late 2017; students are coached by Rose in 1-2-1 30 mins coaching sessions over Skype where they are taught how to use LinkedIn to generate new business and improve their sales pipeline. These are single sessions or can also be in packages of three or six. Over 500 million senior executives and service providers from over 200 countries use LinkedIn and users leverage the platform for a variety of task including job hunting, content marketing, lead generation, e-learning and recruitment solutions.

Rose continued: “Over 70 private students have gone through the masterclass since Dec 2017 and we have received lots of positive feedback. Now we want to launch this as a free public product for anyone interested. Our hope is that the masterclass will birth a new generation of entrepreneurs who become sales machines and can competently use LinkedIn to grow their companies to seven figures in revenue.”

The masterclass will be available on the Win At LinkedIn website from Tuesday 13th February, 2018.

Microsoft fights US in high court to protect global business

Feb 25, 2018

WASHINGTON — Microsoft has an eye on its international customers as it confronts the Trump administration in a Supreme Court fight about turning over emails to investigators. The justices will hear arguments Tuesday over whether the company, as part of an international drug trafficking investigation, must comply with an American warrant for emails stored on a server in a Microsoft facility in Dublin, Ireland. The case turns on a law written in 1986, long before the advent of cloud computing, when lawmakers couldn't imagine a world in which Microsoft and other technology companies store data around the world. At drone fair, Chinese show off armed model likely in UAE

Feb 25, 2018

ABU DHABI, United Arab Emirates — Walking through a trade show all about military drones, Emirati officials made a point on Sunday to stop first at a stand run by Chinese officials with a mock armed drone hanging above them. Defense analysts believe that drone, the Wing Loong II, is now being used by the Emirati military while the UAE remains barred from purchasing weaponized drones from the United States. That purchase, as well as Abu Dhabi hosting the Unmanned Systems Exhibition & Conference this week in the Emirati capital, shows the power these weapons now hold across the Middle...

Broad rally helps stocks end a choppy week slightly higher

Feb 25, 2018

Wall Street capped several days of choppy trading Friday with a broad rally that gave the stock market a modest gain for the week. Technology companies, banks and health care stocks accounted for much of the market's gains. Energy companies also rose along with crude oil prices. The rally came as bond yields pulled back for the second day in a row after reaching four-year highs earlier in the week. That spike on Wednesday, which sent the 10-year Treasury yield closing in on 3 percent, sent stocks sharply lower. "There was a lot of concern about what happened if bond...

Stores make push in scan and go tech, hope shoppers adopt it

Feb 25, 2018

NEW YORK — Shoppers at self-checkout lanes scanning all their groceries after they're done shopping? Old school. More stores are letting customer tally their choices with a phone app or store device as they roam the aisles. For customers, scanning as they go can be faster and make it simpler to keep track of spending. For stores, the big expansion of this technology coming this year costs less than installing more self-checkouts. Like many changes in retail, the expansion of scan-and-go comes from retailers trying to make store shopping more convenient and hang on to customers used to Amazon, which...

Social media helps French police find WWI soldier's relative

Feb 25, 2018

PARIS — A fallen soldier's letter from World War I that was discovered in France has touched authorities so much they launched a successful search for the soldier's living relatives. The handwritten missive was written on May 27, 1915, from the Somme by 24-year-old Frenchman Sgt. Jean Soulagnes to a friend. Soulagnes was killed in fighting 12 days later in the battle of Hebuterne. The letter was found by Marseille police in February in a search following a burglary. With the aid of social media, authorities found Soulagnes' great-grandnephew, Stephane Drouhot. He attended a ceremony Friday at a Marseille police...
